‘Karolinska Institute’s campus construction began in the 1940s following the principle of one field of studies, one professor, one building. With that the Idea of research and education joining one another would be met. Today we are facing perhaps the greatest upheaval since its creation with an ajoining new university hospital, a new large assembly hall and a large new laboratory with several buildings. What ideas embodies a university campus? What is the format?
